ABOUT LUCIE PLATT
I am a 200 hour Independent Yoga Network certified yoga teacher who trained with Studio One Yoga in the North West.
I started my yoga journey and first realised my passion over 20 years ago thanks to my wonderful Mum. Since then I have practised many styles of yoga although mainly Hatha, Iyengar & Vinyasa Flow.
My love and understanding of yoga grew deeper and deeper over time which led me to embark on my teacher training with the inspiring Michelle Almond & Maxine Geary.
Over the years I have continued to attend regular workshops and courses with teachers that include, Taylor Harkness, Lesley Kaminoff & Mackenzie Miller.
In 2018 completed my Yin Yoga Teacher Training with Norman Blair which included and in depth essay - Making a shift towards a more yin focused life.
Most recently in September 2021 I successfully completed my Menopause Yoga Teacher Training with Petra Coveney.
MY STYLE OF YOGA
AUTHENTIC HATHA YOGA FLOW
I am often asked what style of yoga do I teach, I expect this is because there are so many different styles around these days.
My style of yoga is an Authentic Hatha Yoga Flow a fusion of Hatha and Vinyasa focusing on strength, alignment & you. Postures are held in-between flow sequences giving the body time to ensure correct alignment. This builds strength within the body and also gives fluidity to the movement by using the breath.
My Hatha Flow classes are suitable for all levels whether you are a complete beginner or a seasoned yogi as lots of variations will be given making it accessible to everyone.
My classes are fun and relaxed yet challenging within each individual's limits.
Whether you want to move your body, reach spiritual growth, or something else, I know you’ll benefit from my practice.
Something I know for sure is that everyone could use more yoga in their lives.

HOW IT WORKS
Once you are a tribe member you will receive access to my Private Facebook Group where all live classes are on either FB live or ZOOM.
All classes are recorded and stored on the group so if you can’t make a live class you can practice at your own convenience.
Before each class, I will share the ZOOM link and password in the Facebook group making it easy for you to join.

What is menopause Yoga?

Menopause yoga is a therapeutic style of yoga specifically designed to help women manage menopause symptoms but also give women the tools to help empower them on this stage of life.
It combines western medicine science and eastern wellbeing practices to educate women about the menopause so they can make better informed decisions. It gives them a tool kit of techniques to help manage some the main symptoms including anxiety, hot flushes, irritability, insomnia, fatigue, lack of focus and low mood. By using this knowledge and through support and guidance they can embrace the menopause as an opportunity for self development & growth.

How is it different to other style of yoga?
Menopause yoga draws on different styles of yoga including hatha, vinyasa, yin & restorative to include specially adapted yoga sequences and poses to help support menopause symptoms as well as pranayama, meditation, mudra and mantras. The menopause yoga toolkit also includes Cognitive Behaviour Therapy techniques adapted for menopause symptoms. It also includes self reflection and journal writing to help guide and support women on their menopause journey.
PRIVATE 121 SESSIONS & CORPORATE YOGA
121 PRIVATE SESSIONS
A private 121 session is a great way to start your yoga practice and gain confidence in the foundation poses before joining a group yoga class or they provide the more experienced yogi opportunity to enhance their practice and work on more advanced poses. Sessions can be offered in my home yoga studio or in the comfort of your own home.
